P-Valley Season 3 Gets December Premiere Date as Series Sets Final Dance

The Story Behind P-Valley

Hall’s connection to the project began long before P-Valley reached television. She said she researched the lives of more than 40 dancers while developing the original story from the kitchen table of her Hell’s Kitchen apartment in New York City.

That research eventually became a stage play titled P**sy Valley. The project later developed into the television series P-Valley, which premiered on STARZ in 2020.

Hall has described the series as a reflection on the American dream and characterized it as a “visual novel of 27 chapters.” Its story has focused on characters she describes as representing both “the majestic and the marginalized.”

What Happens in Season 3

The new season moves into a changed environment in Chucalissa following the opening of the Promised Land Casino. Its arrival brings new money into the community while also creating new problems for the characters.

Uncle Clifford, portrayed by Nicco Annan, is focused on expanding her empire. At the same time, Roulette, played by Gail Bean, begins creating her own path after breaking one of The Pynk’s cardinal rules.

Lil’ Murda, portrayed by J. Alphonse Nicholson, faces pressure over his future because of his connections to gangs. Meanwhile, Keyshawn continues working toward freedom from her circumstances.

The final season brings back several familiar performers alongside Annan, Bean and Nicholson. The returning cast includes Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, Harriett D. Foy, Psalms Salazar, Morocco Omari and Loretta Devine.
