Taylor Swift celebrated husband Travis Kelce’s first touchdown of the season by pointing to her wedding ring and telling those around her, “That’s my husband!” during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night.
Swift, 36, watched the Chiefs from her familiar suite at Arrowhead Stadium, where she sat between her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift. Her appearance marked the second time in six days that she had attended a Chiefs game to support Kelce.
Kelce, also 36, scored during the first quarter against the Colts, giving Swift a chance to celebrate his first touchdown of the season. The singer’s gesture toward her wedding ring immediately highlighted the couple’s recent marriage as she watched from the stands.
Swift had also attended Kansas City’s season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14. During that game, she was joined by actor Tom Cruise, who later discussed the experience during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Cruise said Swift surprised him with her knowledge of football. He explained that although she had known little about the sport when she first met Kelce, she had since developed a strong understanding of the game. Cruise also described Swift and Kelce as a “beautiful couple” while recalling their time together at the stadium.
The season opener also brought Swift together with several members of Kelce’s family. She watched the Broncos game alongside her parents, his mother Donna Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
The Chiefs tight end has also spoken publicly about the couple’s wedding. Before Kansas City’s opener against Denver, Kelce told ESPN’s Chris Berman that marrying Swift was the best night of his life.
He said the event exceeded what he had imagined because of the people who attended and the amount of love surrounding the occasion.
Swift and Kelce married July 3 at a ceremony held at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The wedding was attended by numerous high-profile guests.
With Kansas City’s next game scheduled on the road against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 27, Swift’s latest appearance at Arrowhead adds another public moment to the couple’s first season as newlyweds.
