Nicole Kidman was among the stars making a visible change when she attended Chanel’s ready to wear spring/summer 2027 presentation in Paris on Monday, Oct. 5. The 59 year old actress wore her blonde curtain bangs considerably longer, with the fringe falling low enough in some photographs to almost cover her eyes.
Kidman paired the hairstyle with a gray tweed Chanel blazer dress and black tights. She attended the show with her 15 year old daughter, Faith Kidman Urban. The appearance came one day after Kidman’s older daughter, 18 year old Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, walked in Valentino’s show.
The most striking transformation, however, came from Lisa Bonet at Celine’s spring/summer 2027 collection on Saturday, Oct. 3. Bonet appeared publicly for the first time in four years and revealed waist-length locs that had turned fully gray.
Her new look combined naturally loose, light gray curls around the top of her head with longer, deeper-gray locs underneath. Bonet, 58, completed her fashion week appearance with a tan trench coat, black dress, black tights and round sunglasses.
Bonet was seated beside Tracee Ellis Ross during the Celine presentation. Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar about designer Michael Rider’s collection, she praised the freshness and relevance she saw in his approach to fashion.
She also explained what appealed to her about Rider’s work, describing the clothes as wearable, elegant and distinctive rather than pieces that might feel difficult to incorporate into everyday life.
Kristen Wiig also used the Chanel presentation to introduce a different version of her familiar appearance. The 53 yearold actress and comedian appeared with espresso brown hair, moving away from the blonde hairstyle audiences typically associate with her.
Wiig’s darker hair was paired with a Chanel strapless black mini-dress featuring white trim and a matching jacket. Her appearance added another notable hairstyle change to a week already marked by celebrities embracing dramatically different looks.
Together, the three appearances highlighted distinctly different approaches to changing a familiar public image. Kidman altered the shape and length of her signature bangs, Bonet embraced her naturally graying locs, while Wiig revealed a darker hair color.
