Her mother then realized that Mooney had begun having seizures. Severe weather was also affecting emergency transportation at the time, with tornado conditions preventing ambulances from operating normally.
Mooney said her parents arranged for a private ambulance and met the vehicle at a Baptist church several miles away. She was then transported toward an emergency room while experiencing multiple seizures, according to her account.
The medical crisis became even more serious at the hospital. Mooney said she flatlined when doctors attempted to intubate her, marking the most critical point of the emergency she described.
Mooney also shared what she remembers experiencing while she was considered dead. She described a sensation of her spirit rising and said she felt a presence communicating that it was “not yet” her time.
She characterized the experience as deeply peaceful and unlike anything she had previously experienced. Mooney said she ultimately did not want to return from that state.
